[Crumpton Biography, GWU Homeland Security Policy Institute, accessed 3/19/14] Crumpton Critical Of U.S. Campaign in Afghanistan. Crumpton said of key military lessons learned after the 2001-02 Afghanistan campaign “the campaign underscored the value of intelligence, integration of multiple U.S. government entities, empathetic understanding and support to local partners, application of technology driven by specific needs (not vice-versa), a bias to the field, flat and networked organizations, speed and precision in force projection, and leadership. The United States, distracted with Iraq, and international community failed to secure the 01Afghanistan victory with non-military power and did not address the growing enemy safe haven in Pakistan. Moreover, the U.S. struggles with accepting the changing nature of war, wherever it might be.” [Amazon.com, accessed 3/19/14] Crumpton Critical Of U.S. Intelligence Bureaucracy. “The growing intelligence bureaucracy, including the DNI, is not effective. The entire effort is expensive, duplicative, Washington-centric, and burdened by an irrational Congressional oversight system. And, there are still major weaknesses in U.S. homeland intelligence collection and analysis,” Crumpton said. In 2015 Hurd addressed a group of reporters with Speaker Ryan to address reforming the visa waiver program. HURD: Good morning, everyone. I'm Will Hurd, I represent the 23rd Congressional District of Texas, I'm one of the freshman here so I’ve have been up here in Washington, DC for a whopping eleven months but I spent nine years as an undercover officer in the CIA. I was the dude in the back alleys at four o'clock in the morning chasing Al-Qaida, the Taliban, nuclear weapon proliferators and so when you talk about the threat we're facing right, now the threat of ISIS, it's a clear and present danger to the United States and there’s many things that we need to be doing to stop this threa, and one thing we're doing this week is tightening up the visa waiver program. I also sat on the task force that looked at the threat of ISIS to the homeland and one of the things that we found is that many of our European allies are not sharing information the way they should be. And these are folks, you know that, we have the Europeans are only checking one out of every three travel documents of people going through their countries this kind of stuff needs to stop. We need to make sure that our European partners are sharing information with us and using the information we're giving them because one of the things I learned when I was in the CIA is that if you get the right information to the right people you keep terrorists on the run and off our shores. Thank you very much.” [YouTube, uploaded 12/08/15]

Hurd: “We Cannot Trust The Iranians”

Hurd: “We Cannot Trust The Iranians.” In 2015 Hurd appeared on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the Iran Nuclear Deal. BARTIROMO: It’s so extraordinary when you look at the fact that we've got the ballistic missile development you've got the lifting up the conventional arms embargo, sanction really of individuals and yet the administration keeps saying that this is a good deal for the US. It feels like it's a really good deal for Iran. HURD: You're absolutely right, it really, it's a great deal. Think about this: Iran has been the largest state sponsor of terrorism for almost four decades. They'd had no money because of sanctions now they're gonna be flush with cash and what they're gonna be able to do with this is absolutely scary. The bottom line is this: we cannot trust the Iranians. They have lied to the IAEA, the UN nuclear watchdog on a number of occasions. They have lied to the UN Security Council, they’re supporting terrorist organizations in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan. We can't trust them.” [YouTube, :36, uploaded 7/27/15] Cashed In On CIA Experience Through Hosting Fundraiser Called “‘Crash And Bang: Tactical And Offensive Driving With Rep. His campaign is hosting a fundraiser on Nov. 20 called ‘Crash and Bang: Tactical and Offensive Driving with Rep. Will Hurd.’ ‘Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a turn at high speeds? Do you want to learn how to do a J-turn like you see in the movies? Do you know how to disable a car that is chasing you?’ teased an email for the event a tipster sent to HOH. Only 12 American citizens can participate in the event, and at a cost. The event registration lists the price of admission at $5,000 per political action committee or individual…And now Hurd is sharing some CIA driving tips with donors.

«8. Government and the financial sector David Miles (Morgan Stanley) Summary • The financial crisis has forced governments in the UK and elsewhere to intervene in the financial sector in a way that had long been unthinkable.• The scale of the intervention in the UK is enormous, but the long-term costs to taxpayers could well be small – they may even make a profit. That said, the downside risks are huge because the payoffs on the support measures are asymmetric: taxpayers are much more...»
